1 THE MOMENT OF CHANGE

The Cause: 'The Moment of Change'

If one wants to find out the cause of the back pain, then one must mainly look for 'the moment of change'. This means that there is usually a change within the load or the load capacity of the back.

"Why doesn't a Chinese rice picker always have back problems?"

This is because a Chinese rice picker is used to this tax and has been doing it all his life. On the one hand, the cause may be the increase in the load on the spine, on the other hand, the cause may be a decrease in the loadability (condition) of the spine.
Examples increase in stress: • Stress in the private situation (causes an increase in the burden, followed by a decrease in the condition) • Stress at work • Having a child and the changed lifestyle • It has been 'shot in' with heavy lifting (direct overload) • Had an accident (for example, a collision or fall) • Client spends longer days at work • Client must sit more at work • Client must perform more physical work at work • Ea
Examples of decrease in load capacity • 'Old age' • Temporary or long-term illness • Avoidance of back-stressing activities based on fear that things can go wrong • Accidental fracture (fracture) of one of the vertebrae • Decreased load-bearing capacity due to other injuries • Ea

"Stress is one of the most underrated causes of back pain!"

When the stress persists for too long. For example as a result of a conflict at work, relationship problems, worrying about how something will end or worrying about whether we can handle everything. This prolonged, also called 'unhealthy stress', ensures that the body cannot enter a 'recovery mode', which means that the body becomes increasingly tired and eventually exhausted. This decrease in the overall condition as a result of the long-term stress also reduces the condition of the back muscles. "The back muscles are constantly contracted". Although the tension in the back increases, the condition and function of the back muscles decreases. In particular, this has a negative effect on the 'stability and control of movement' of the spine. This 'unhealthy stress' therefore has a major impact on your back pain.
